What are your credentials?

I am a Certified Bookkeeper and graduated from the Bookkeeping for Small Business program at the University of the Fraser Valley. I am a Tax Preparer and received my Preparing Canadian Income Tax Returns Certificate at the Canadian Tax Academy. I am also a QuickBooks Online Advanced ProAdvisor.

What is the difference between a bookkeeper and an accountant?
A
A bookkeeper is responsible for ensuring businesses financial records are accurate and organized. They maintain the financials and generate reports to be given to an accountant at year end. An accountant prepares and files the company’s tax return based on the financial reports provided by the bookkeeper. They also analyze the data and provide sound financial advise and tax planning.

What kind of clients do you serve?

I provide services to all small business structures (sole proprietorships, partnerships, and incorporations) from a vast range of industries.

What accounting software do you use?
A
Through the use of QuickBooks Online I’m able to provide bookkeeping and payroll services remotely. The software is very user-friendly and has many beneficial components for both the client and bookkeeper. As a QuickBooks Online Advanced ProAdvisor I have extensive knowledge of and competency operating this software program.

Is a retainer required?
A
Yes! Typically equal to one month’s service costs, a retainer must be provided before services commence. It is non-refundable, but applied to your outstanding balance at year end.
